Release 10.1A: OpenEdge Development:
Progress Dynamics Basic Development

Using security documentation

Administrators and programmers set up and maintain security with the framework’s Security Control tool. You can access the tool through the Security menu in the Progress Dynamics Administration window.

OpenEdge Development: Progress Dynamics Administration describes the security functions that are system-wide settings or those that administrators use to define and maintain users, groups, and profiles. This chapter describes how to define security on application objects and apply them to specific users, groups, and application elements.

Table 13–1 summarizes which parts of the Security Control tool documentation you can find in OpenEdge Development: Progress Dynamics Administration and which documentation you can find here.
